I don't follow. Educational research sucks because there IS a problem with boys and schools (contrary to this piece of educational research)? Educational research sucks because it can be made to say whatever authors want it to say (e.g., group that authored/promoted study may have an interest in keeping attention on problems with girls and school)? Something else? Please expound, if you're so inclined.
Old research claimed there was a problem with boys. As has been true for much of educational research, it has been shown to be not true. There is so little agreement, and so much refutation, that I just believe my own eyes more than the conflicted research.
